Dispatch and Delivery

When you place your order with Wainwrights you can be sure of top-quality service and delivery. Its at the heart of everything we do.

Our dedicated delivery team will ensure your order goes exactly where you want it to go. All we ask is that, if you don’t have a bunker or similar, you ask for the fuel to be left in bags when you place your order. Fuel that is to be tipped is transported in the heavy-duty coal sacks while the bags that are to be left are special woven bags that are strong and sturdy but can be left with you for you to reuse if you wish. This is done back at the yard when loading and cannot be done on site We do not charge extra for this service.

Wainwrights deliver on 2 different sized lorries. We have 14 tonne Flatbed trucks, and we have the smaller 3.5 tonne pickup trucks. If a bin wagon can’t get to your house, then our larger trucks can’t. Please make it clear on your order if this is the case so that we can deliver your order on the smaller pickup.

We also need to know if the access to your property is easy to get to. If there are steps that the delivery team will have to climb or obstructions to where you want the fuel tipping, then it could be an issue. It would be best to give us a call to discuss further.

We love all kinds of animals at Wainwrights, but we ask that you lock any pets away whilst the delivery is being made.

We can deliver pre-pack smokeless and House Coal (providing you are not in a smokeless zone if its house coal) but due to a change in legislation we are unable to leave House coal pre-pack bags on your property when we leave. We would need to tip the fuel into a bunker or on the ground and take the bags with us. We are legally required to do this. Smokeless pre-pack can be left in the bags.

Please note, if we are required to make a re-delivery due to withheld information regarding access to the customers address or customer not being in resulting in a failed delivery, the customer will incur a re-delivery charge. If our driver arrives at the location and deems it unsafe or impossible to complete the delivery due to withheld information, the customer will receive a refund minus a delivery charge.
